Bill Parkinson
President & CEO
Before launching CourseMark in 2021, Bill was a registered investment advisor with 16 years’ experience helping individuals and institutions build and protect wealth. Bill was the brokerage managing director at Capstone Partners, a nationally recognized insurance and investment services firm, where he collaborated with the top practitioners in the country on executive benefit programs for credit unions and other nonprofit organizations. Bill’s vision is to bring together genuine, innovative, people-oriented professionals with a shared passion for making the world a better place, one relationship at a time.
Bill grew up in Southern California and has fond memories diving for lobster off the coast of Palos Verdes with his father. He currently resides in Celina, Texas, with his wife, Pam. Together they love to travel, host wine and cheese parties, and spend time with their three children.
Heidi Reyes
Director of Operations and Client Services
Heidi is the Director of Operations and Clients Service at CourseMark. Heidi takes great pride in the many responsibilities she has, and she particularly enjoys the areas of financial planning, insurance planning, and client service. Heidi has over 16 years of experience in the financial industry and has created multi-generational relationships by helping clients recognize and achieve their financial goals through comprehensive holistic financial planning.
Heidi holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University.
Heidi and her husband, Rich, live in Pueblo West, Colorado. They have four daughters and four rescue dogs. When Heidi is not at work or spending time with her family, she enjoys being active. Heidi loves the outdoors and has a particular passion for the friends, fitness, and camaraderie found within her CrossFit fitness group.
Mai-Linh Hoang
Vice President Strategy and Innovation
Mai-Linh has over 18 years’ experience in organizational strategy, marketing, event management and public relations. She has worked for large nonprofits, advertising agencies and credit unions over her career, focusing her work in the financial industry for the past 12 years. She has spent most of her career with credit unions having $1 billion to $4 billion in assets.
She is a Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) Ambassador and Iowa Sister Society leader. GWLN, a program of the World Council of Credit Unions, aims to provide women with the opportunity and resources to make a measurable difference. She received GWLN’s 2019 Emerging Leader Award for her work and advocacy through fundraising and programming to provide women with the tools and resources they need to lead.
Mai-Linh has a Bachelor of Science in biology and an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mai-Linh is from Philadelphia and splits her time between Singapore and the United States with her husband and two young daughters. She consults for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor, and she is a member of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance’s Economic Development Innovation Council and the American Marketing Association. She is also a participant in Filene Research Institute’s i3 program, an innovation leadership program in which professionals brainstorm, test and create products, processes and business models to better serve member needs.
Thomas Hever
Sales Development Associate
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in integrate physiology from the University of Colorado. Working as a research assistant at UT Southwestern, Thomas decided to transition away from the medical field, and he began his career in financial services with Northwestern Mutual in 2019. There he focused heavily on comprehensive personal financial planning and leveraging product knowledge and analytics to help individuals achieve their long-term goals.
Still residing in Dallas, Thomas splits his free time between rugby, cycling, skiing and being outdoors whenever possible.
Amy Devlin
Executive Assistant/Office Manager
Amy is the Executive Assistant and Office Manager for the CourseMark team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Arlington. Amy takes pride in ensuring the office runs efficiently and effectively while providing administrative support to the team.
Amy and her husband, Brian, live in Frisco, Texas with their two daughters. When Amy is not working, she enjoys reading, racking up meters on her Hydrow, and watching her daughters play golf.

John Swenson
President, Princeton Capital Associates & Insurance Services
Princeton Capital Associates & Insurance Services, LLC, was formed by John to work with the Credit Union and Medical Market Industries in designing strategic and efficient Executive Benefit programs. His firm specializes in Collateral Assignment Split Dollar* accounts, 457(f) plans, 162 Executive Bonus Plans, Pre-funding of Employee Benefits and retirement plans. John’s business experience includes managing and implementing best practices, processes, and benchmarks in deferred compensation strategies for executives and board of directors. He also works closely with 401(k) and other retirement plans by assisting the field representatives in investment products and sales and marketing programs.
John is the Board Chair for CourseMark. Additionally, he serves on the boards of Collins Holding Company, committed to supporting credit union growth and innovation, by creating solutions that make a difference, and Exclamation CUSO, providing IT Services and Marketing to credit unions.
He currently resides in Colorado Springs, CO with his wife, Kirsten. Together they are passionate about traveling, hiking, and spending time with their children.

Michael Downey
Managing Director, CourseMark
Mike has over 30 years of experience helping corporations with insurance and investment strategies. For the last 17 years, Mike’s attention and expertise focused on helping credit unions with retaining and rewarding key executives in addition to providing institutional investments to help offset employee benefit costs. He has won numerous industry awards and has been a speaker at industry conferences.
Mike is responsible for engaging new clients and assuring existing customers are provided with the best cutting-edge solutions. He works with financial institutions to enhance the firm’s earnings and/or to reduce its risk by offering CourseMark’s suite of insurance and executive compensation–based products.
He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation. Additionally, he is Series 6, 63, 65, 7 and life and health licensed.
Mike and his wife, Linda, have a beautiful blended family with seven children, have three Alaskan Malamutes, and are active in the Christian Community.
